Christ-focused
Crisis Chaplains provides a ministry of presence for the spiritual needs of any and all in the wake of crime, violence, or terrorism. While many chaplain organizations focus on the vital mission of disaster relief, CrisisChaplains.com is mission specific to crime, violence, and terrorism.
Crisis Chaplains response to violence, that has also breached the shelter of the sanctuary, is to call Christians from the confines and comforts of the church to the crimes and conflicts in the community. While the commission of crimes, violence and terrorism falls under the jurisdiction of law enforcement, Crisis Chaplains recognizes that faith has no jurisdictional boundaries. Christians are under Christ's Great Commission to share the Gospel, which transcends boundaries. Christians must mobilize the strength of unity and the Lord's strategic placement in the cause of Christ and for communities in crisis. They do so by recruiting, sending and supporting experienced military veterans and ex-public safety personnel trained and ordained as Crisis Chaplains. See 9/11 Cable Interview.
Much is reported in the news about far-reaching radical "terror networks," spreading fear through violence and the Internet, but nothing is ever mentioned about Christ-focused "Faith Networks." Crisis Chaplains is determined to change that, with the power of Christ and the devotion of His followers, unified locally and across the Internet, to spread courage and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Crisis Chaplains is a ministry of Faith In the Family International and provides leadership and media training and networks businesses, groups, churches and pastors for a unified Christ-focused response to crime, violence and terrorism.
Crisis Chaplains is not a government organization and is not part of any police or fire department. Crisis Chaplains is a Christ-focused 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit based in the Washington, DC region. Crisis Chaplains intends to network with communities, interfaith groups, public safety agencies, governments and elected officials throughout the Washington, DC region, across the nation, and internationally.
Crisis Chaplains provides for the spiritual needs of those on the outer perimeter of an incident (outside of crime scene) and does not interfere with the duties and response of police, fire, EMS or military personnel. Crisis Chaplains does not attempt to proselytize others to the Christian faith. Crisis Chaplains ministers from a Christian worldview and from lives that have been touched and transformed by Christ.
"Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the LORD your God goes with you;
he will never leave you nor forsake you."
